WatchWords ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Apple Watch application for GRE vocabulary learning.
Data Storage and Security
Local Storage
- All your study progress and vocabulary data is stored locally on your Apple Watch and iPhone
- We use Apple's secure storage mechanisms including Keychain for sensitive data
- Your data remains on your devices and is encrypted using iOS/watchOS standard encryption
Cloud Sync (Optional)
- If you enable sync functionality, your study progress is stored in your personal iCloud account
- We do not have access to your iCloud data - it's encrypted and controlled by Apple
- You can disable sync at any time in the app settings
Security Measures
- All data transmission uses industry-standard TLS encryption
- We implement security best practices recommended by Apple
- No third-party trackers or analytics services have access to your personal data
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties, except:
- Service Providers: Trusted partners who help us operate the app (e.g., Apple for iCloud sync)
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition (you would be notified)

Children's Privacy
WatchWords is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
Third-Party Services
Apple Services
- App Store: Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
- iCloud: Your sync data is handled according to Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy
- HealthKit: We do not currently integrate with HealthKit
No Other Third Parties
We do not integrate with any other third-party services that would have access to your personal data.
International Data Transfers
If you use WatchWords outside your country of residence, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
