How do I add my first item?

1. Tap the "+" button in the Items tab
2. Take a photo or choose from your library
3. AI fills in item details
4. Let AI suggest tags or add your own
5. Select or create a location
6. Set quantity and expiration date if needed
7. Tap Save

How do I set up locations?

1. Go to the Locations tab
2. Tap "+" to add a new location
3. Name your location (e.g., "Garage")
4. Add sub-locations if needed (e.g., "Top Shelf")
5. Tap Save

AI Object Recognition

When you add a photo of an item, FindMyThings automatically suggests tags based on what it sees and fills item details.

Location Hierarchy

Create a structure that matches your space: Home → Garage → Tool Cabinet → Top Drawer. This makes finding items intuitive and quick.

How do I search for items?

Use the search bar at the top of the Items tab. You can search by:

• Item name
• Tags
• Location

Can I protect my data with a PIN?

Yes! Go to Settings and set up an App PIN for additional security.

How do I track expiration dates?

When adding or editing an item, set an expiration date. You'll be able to see this information in the item details.
